Teachers will analyze tasks and instructional strategies that allow students to use and connect mathematical representations. Participants will also explore strategies for modifying and implementing tasks to elicit a variety of representations and strategies that promote conceptual understanding. Participants will be asked to bring an artifact from a math talk to this session that shows a prompt and students’ responses to the prompt (e.g., chart paper, photo, video, etc.).
