Congratulations to the students at Stevenson and Irving Middle School for their excellent performance at the Proviso Math and Science Academy math competition. The competition consisted of 9 middle schools with Irving and Stevenson representing District 89.
Each middle school brought 12 students, 4 from each grade-level. The competition had 3 different components. There was an individual section, team section, and joint team section in which students were teammates with students from other schools.
Stevenson Middle School won 1st place overall at the competition. Many students from Irving and Stevenson won awards. Individual winners are listed below. District 89 will be recognizing all of the competitors at the school board meeting on the evening of January 12th.
