Teachers will engage in solving and discussing tasks that promote mathematical reasoning and problem solving by providing multiple entry points and encouraging multiple solution strategies. They will consider the goal of the lesson, analyze different types of tasks, and learn how to nurture and promote student reasoning and conceptual development. Participants will select and plan a series of related tasks they can implement in their practice. Participants will be asked to bring artifacts from a problem-solving math lesson to this session for analysis and reflection.
