School Year 2021–2022
K–8 Building Student Confidence Series
The 2021–2022 virtual teacher professional development series is focused around the unique and challenging situation that teachers are facing after the unprecedented 2020–2021 school year. The key focus is on using differentiation to build student confidence and solidify student learning. Participants will focus on defining and assessing the big ideas of number and operations, proportional reasoning and algebraic thinking and explore research-based formative assessment strategies that encourage students to identify and build on their assets, thus making the upcoming school year more joyful and successful for teachers and students. Anyone working with K–8 students will find these sessions useful. ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.
Participants may select from two virtual sessions: 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Registration will be available soon through Eventbrite.
Registration is free to participants in districts participating in the MCMI PD Consortium and available to all others for a fee.
Please contact Jean Sutow-Goldrich (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions about your district’s status for the 2021–2022 school year or for additional information about Consortium benefits.
