The Metro Chicago Mathematics Initiative will be offering a 2018 Mathematics Summer Institute for teachers and administrators.
WHO should attend: Teachers of mathematics and administrators in grades K–12.
Teachers will work in grade-band groups on core issues of mathematics teaching and learning.
Teachers can also select breakout sessions based on their interests, contexts, and prior experience. Teachers either new to or experienced with our work are encouraged to attend.
Administrators may attend special workshops immediately following the featured speaker addresses. Administrators interested in working with teacher groups are also welcome to do so.
WHEN/WHERE: The three-day institute, with daily featured speakers, will run July 31–August 2 at Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights.

Featured Speaker: Eli Luberoff, Founder and CEO of Desmos
Thursday, August 2
Featured Speaker: Christopher Danielson, Teaching Faculty, Desmos and Author
