Inspire Curiosity in Your Mathematics Classroom
This professional development series will provide opportunities to experience and analyze rich mathematical tasks that encourage powerful student thinking and experimentation. Participants will explore opportunities to elicit students’ natural curiosity and nurture mathematical habits of mind while continuing to build capacity around formative assessment. ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.
Four 90-minute virtual sessions AND two full-day in-person sessions.
Virtual Dates
September 26, December 5, January 30, and May 2
(Select 8:30–10:00 am, 10:30 am–12:00 pm, 1:00–2:30 pm, or 4:30–6:00 pm)
In-person Dates
November 1, 2, or 14 AND February 26, 27, or 29
South Cook Intermediate Service Center: November 1 & 2, February 26 & 27
West 40 Service Center: November 14 and February 29
(8:30 am–3:00 pm)
Registration costs are listed in EventBrite. For districts participating in the MCMI PD Consortium, registration costs are covered by the terms of the contract.
