Coaching Institute
The Coaching Institute is designed for educators who serve as instructional coaches in their districts and schools; they may be released either full time or part time but should have the opportunity to support teachers to improve their instructional practice. The institute is focused on building math coaches’ capacity to collaborate with colleagues, to build teacher capacity with a focus on student thinking and learning, and to lead productive grade-level teams and engaging professional development sessions. Attended before? That is OK. The content will be differentiated.
ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.
Three full-days in-person from 8:30 am–3:00 pm and two 2-hour virtual sessions from 9:00–11:00 am. In-person location TBD.
- Session 1: September 12, in-person
- Session 2: October 28, virtual
- Session 3: December 9, in-person
- Session 4: February 14, virtual
- Session 5: April 7, in-person

Registration opens August 1, 2024. All registration costs will be listed in the registration form. For districts participating in the MCMI PD Consortium, registration costs are covered by the terms of the contract.
