School Year 2023–2024

Math Accessibility and Support Institute (formerly Math Specialist Institute)

This series is designed for educators who work as interventionists or are supporting students and teachers as they find ways to ensure all students have access to and are successful with core instruction (MTSS coaches, Interventionists, resource teachers, math specialists, special education teachers). This institute is focused on building capacity to reflect on and provide impactful interventions and use assessments to inform instruction and to support decision making that impacts core instruction. ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.

Two full-days in-person from 8:30 am–3:00 pm and three 2.5-hour virtual sessions from 9:00–11:30 am OR 12:30–3:00 pm.

  • Session 1: September 21, in-person at UIC
  • Session 2: October 17, virtual
  • Session 3: December 12, in-person at Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123
  • Session 4: February 1, virtual
  • Session 5: April 16, virtual

Registration costs are listed in EventBrite. For districts participating in the MCMI PD Consortium, registration costs are covered by the terms of the contract.
