Positioning Language Learners for Success in Mathematics Institute Heading link
This series is designed for teachers and teacher leaders who want to focus on language development in the mathematics classroom. These sessions are for all educators interested in the intersection of language and mathematics including bilingual teachers, EL teachers, dual language teachers, and monolingual teachers. We will examine the role of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the mathematics classroom as well as explore the use of math language routines and other strategies. Attended before? That is OK. The content will be differentiated.
ISBE Professional Development hours will be provided for each session.
Four full-days in-person from 8:30 am–3:00 pm at Brodnicki Elementary School ISD 109

- Session 4: April 14
