Session Description
Beyond just showing work and sharing solution methods: Using mathematical language routines to engage students in robust mathematical talk
This presentation focuses on improving the quantity and quality of students’ mathematical talk through the use of mathematical language routines. These routines can be “plugged in” to existing curricula, but they are most effective when students use the routines to build up meaty mathematical concepts and claims.
